I get a list of work from my home office every day that's a page printed from a dictation system and then scanned into the computer and e-mailed to me. While it's handy to not have to type up my own page, one quirk is really annoying: When I print the document out, it prints out green. It's converted to an Adobe document when it gets here, and I've tried saving it to Clipboard, but that didn't help, it just came out green with smaller print. Since I have to print one of these pages per day it eats up my color cartridge, plus the green print is hard to read. Is there any way I can make it print black and white (it's black print with a gray background on my computer screen), or should I just quit being a tightwad and buy another color cartridge for my printer? Thanks.

Check under the "Print Settings" or "Print Quality" options in the Print dialog. There ought to be a setting to print a document in black and white only.

I found a way to print the document so that it came out in black and white. In the printing setup sequence I found a checkable box that said "Print as image." So, just to see what happened, I checked the box. The document came out in black and white, looking exactly like it did on the scanned image. It's now much easier to read.
