So for the past 3 days I've been fighting with malware and I've run out of all options. First I had something like Windows Protection which I managed to get rid of, and then today I ended up with Total Security which I also managed to get rid of, but I still can't get the vundo on my machine removed and Malware Bytes keeps coming up with "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\UpdatesDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0)" as the only thing. I'm still unable to get into Safe Mode (F8 just takes me into a menu to choose which drive to boot off of, I have an ASUS PL5D2 Mobo btw), and every time I start up windows, Symantec AV does a quick scan and finds a vundo attached to visegobu.dll which it then says it partially removed and I have to reboot to complete the removal of. I reboot, and then symantec runs a quickscan again and finds the same thing, same everything. I can't find the file with FileASSASSIN since Quickscan is, uh, helping. Both MBAM and Symantec give the the same results every single time, and I don't know what else to do. I still can't boot into safe mode even if I choose to skip loading the something.sys file (can't remeber the full name), but normal Windows boots fine. Except for the virus. Vundofix also finds absolutely nothing. Here's the logs I have from DDS and RootRepeal.

PS Don't worry about purehate.exe. That's what I renamed MBAM's exe after when I got infected by Spywatch or something and realized it was blocking .exes. I never changed it back because I have nothing but hate for whoever coded these little monsters.

Hello elcapybara,

Let's clear out your temp files first

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

If you are using Firefox and this has caused page loading problems then please clear your private data. To do this go
to the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data, and then check Cache. Click Clear Private Data Now.

Then close Firefox and then reopen it.

Now let's see what else is in the PC

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop making sure you rename it combo-fix.exe
  • Disable your Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. (Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive.)
  • Double click on Combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.
