The board specs say 240-pin DDR3, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131366

DDR2 and DDR3 are both 240-pin modules...but the alignment is different so one will not fit in a slot designed for the other, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=d...mp;oq=&aqi=.
