Hi, trevorveasey,

You seem to be running two anti-virus programs. That is not advisable because there can be conflicts.
I suggest that you disable and/or completely remove one (according to the program's specific instructions for doing so) and keep the other one running in realtime.

Download WinSockFix from:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/WinS...load-15337.html
If you lose your connection during the fix, run WinsockFix.

Please open Add/Remove programs and uninstall New.Net or NewDotNet from there if listed. If it is not listed, follow these instructions:

Click on the following link:
http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

Scroll down to Procedure 4 and follow the removal instructions.

Reboot.

Please run a scan with the following:
Ad-aware *
Download Ad-aware version SE Personal 1.06 from here:
Download from:

Install by double-clicking on the downloaded file.
If you have a previous version of Ad-Aware installed, during the installation of the new version you will be prompted to uninstall or keep the older version - be sure to uninstall the previous version.After installing Ad-aware, you will be prompted to update the program and run a full scan. De-select all boxes so that it does not run. If you already have Ad-aware Second Edition skip to the next step.
Manually run "Ad-Aware SE Personal" and from the main screen Click on "Check for Updates Now".
Click the 'Connect'-button and, if there are new updates, click 'OK' and then 'Finish'.
Once the definitions have been updated:
Do NOT scan with the program yet.
Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by immediately tapping the F8 key (or F5 on some computers)
Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the Enter key.
Once in Safe Mode, launch Ad-Aware, and press Start > Next to let it scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Press 'Next'
Right-click in that results pane and choose "select all"
Press "Next" again
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.
Finally, close Ad-Aware, and start your computer normally.

Be sure to put a check in the box by "Auto Clean" before you do the scan. If it finds anything that it cannot clean have it delete it or make a note of the file location so you can delete it yourself.
Click on "Scan your PC"
A box will pop-up, click "Next"; Then, type in your email address and click "Send"
Select your Country and State/Region. Click "Start"
A message may appear asking you to agree to the installation of ActiveX components on your system, click "Yes".
Please make sure all five options are checked and then click "All my computer"
Another box will pop-up, click "Close". Your scan should then begin.
When it is finished, please click "See Report" then click "Save Report"
Please post the contents of the saved file along with a fresh HJT log. Thanks.

The Panda software will not download. It says it is but it is not doing anything. I let it stay up for about 30 mins. and nothing. But here is th HJ log:

Your log is clean, however you are still running 2 AV's which might be contributing to any problems that you are still having.
What made you think that you had a virus to begin with?

I ran AVG antivirus and it said I had 12, but I could only delete two. I thank you for your time.

What two Av am I running and which one is better to have? Do I have to unistall one?

First, to answer your question:
According to your log, you are running eTrust EZ Antivirus and AVG. Both are good. I use AVG. If you have paid for eTrust and your subscription is still good use that. If you remove one you must do it according to the program's instructions. If there is no info with the tool, usually you can obtain that from eTrust (EZ) or Grisoft (AVG). Another alternative would be to run one in realtime and keep the other disabled to use only "on demand" if you need a "second opinion". In that case, one would need to be disabled from running at Startup, and whenever you are updating one, make sure the other is disabled. You will need to remember that BOTH need to be updated regularly, though.

For now, I would like you to disable eTrust. (Right-click on the EZ Antivirus icon by your clock and see if you get a menu to disable it.) Run another scan with AVG. Make a note of what it finds and where it is so we can clean it manually. Let me know what it finds.
** If you cannot disable EZ, just run the scan as you did before when you had those first virus warnings.
