OK so I have a project that I am wanting to work on but I haven't done anything similar to this so I was hoping somebody could give me some feedback on how to go about it.

I want to create a database driven website. There will be 2 different classes of users that have login information and have different access permissions. These users will be able to upload files. Also, I will need to send e-mail alerts based on specific events to specific types of users.

I currently have Visual Studio 2008, Expression Web 2, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and Microsoft Access 2003.

Is the best option to use ASP.NET with SQL Server? If I have to pay more for SQL with my host would I be able to use Access? I am not looking to store tons of information and the number of users would remain at a fixed number.

And lastly, where can I find some tutorials on how to do this?
