I got the error for almost two months and spent countless hours trying to fix the issue. However, after extensive research and still can not find a solution. My laptop usually stopped working after 2 minutes of use and it did not respond to the mouse or keyboard. I tried to use ALT_Ctrl_DEL to bring up the task manager but it did nothing. After 5 minutes of waiting, it showed a blank screen with a dialogue box Failure security options. Then I had to power off the machine.

I also tried use Norton Internet security to scan for virus but it stopped scanning after 2 minutes and machine just stopped working. I ended up uninstalling Norton from my laptop.

My friend told me to try using Combofix. I downloaded it about two weeks ago and ran it on my computer. It created a log after it finished. However, it still had similar issue after I ran Combofix.

Please let me know how to post the log so I know what to do next.

My latop is HP Pavilion DV9700 Notebook with 2 gig of ram. It is running Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1.

Thanks.
