Thank you for in advance for all the help!

Since about 3 days ago, my computer has started giving error messages I have never seen before and internet will sometimes bog down or shut off completely. The error message I get when windows boots up is:

********************************************

AutoIt Error <---This is the Window Title

Line -1:

Error: Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or subscript dimension range exceeded.

*********************************************

I do not recall installing anything related to AutoIt which, from my understanding, is a valuable tool that can and is being used to perpetuate Malware. Another issue that seems to have started at the same time is an error in internet explorer:

**********************************************

fdgdfgdfg

run time error '10022'
invalid argument

**********************************************

Once again, thank you! I have already downloaded HijackThis, but haven't done anything with it as of yet. I did a few searches over the running processes and recently modified files and haven't found anything that sticks out to me. I have McAfee Antivirus and a scan returns nothing there, when I downloaded and ran McAfee Stinger, however, it found and deleted a trojan in my documents and settings folder, I didn't save a log at the time though so I do not remember what the name of the trojan was.

EDIT: In my haste to post, I think I hit the wrong forum. Tell tale sign that I don't know much! I believe this would most likely need to be in the am I infected area.

AutoIt seems to be a scripting tool, http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/.

I can't tell you why it would appear on your system, but some games seem to use it.

Worth reading, http://www.msfn.org/board/do-autoit-error-t77878.html, seems like it's worth posting in our Am I Infected forum, IMO.

I will suggest this thread be moved to said forum.

Thanks for the response! I have been reading all kinds of things today to do with Auto It and it's use in trojans/malware, The problem I am having with my error is that it doesn't reference any specific file, just the Null line value. I'm not doing any programming of any kind myself and so I do believe it would be a badly coded form of something or another... the question is what?

EDIT: I just remembered one more important detail. I removed and entry for svvhost2.exe in my window, which led me to look in System32 where I found 4 files:

swinlogin.exe
systemlog.exe
winlogin2.exe
svvhost2.exe

I have now disabled them and deleted all references. I will restart and let you know what happens

Restarted and it looks clean! Thanks for helping me jog my brain into gear

I don't know how to request a thread to be closed, but if someone reads this that can close the thread, sweet as!
