Hi, I was encountering a problem that never happened before.

After I login my password it takes like 10-15 seconds for the login page to go away

then heres the problem , after it logins the screen stays black for about a minute or so and that usually never happened before

Before all it does is instant show desktop icons and background picture

Any Ideas on how to fix it?

Thank you

Did you install any new applications before this started to happen?

Have you checked what is being run at Start-up - START RUN type in msconfig.exe - check start up.
