It was the same here too Bambo. F-Secure was also used by the largest ISP in my area of the USA also very inexpensive (1.95 USD per month) This I know from experience. It was easily disabled. They give you 5 reinstalls per license. In less than a year I went through all 5 of my reinstalls plus two more. Also after I used my first 5 reinstalls I had to wait for 2 weeks (don't know why, but it doesn't say much for customer service to just leave you unprotected for that long) for my new license. I suspect the reason the big ISP's are using it is the bottom line ($). F-Secure is practically giving it away. You're probably right about the ultimate origins of these products. It wouldn't surprise me. I'll never use F-secure again, and I assume you aren't using it either from what you say. During my waiting period I used Avast Free and it was better than the F-Secure. Oh well, to each his own. We can agree to disagree
Take care
