I was attacked by some virus that disabled my taskmgr. Malwarebytes didn't find it. CA security suite didn't find it. I have used Combofix before, and it corrected the taskmgr issue, but I want to know what the heck it was, so I can forward the info to whoever can use it to update the virus databases. I have copies of the combofix.txt files and the quarintined text file. I can post them if someone can help me decipher them and direct me on how to send the culprit to the proper places, for inclusion into the databases.

Please read the information about getting started. After you have followed the steps in that guide, I would like you to start a new thread HERE. Please do not post your Combofix log until it is requested!!!

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient. The HJT team is very busy, so it could be several days before you receive a reply. But rest assured, help is on the way!
