reduceing game lag with 2nd computer in use

Hi, i am haveing trouble with lag playing games when someone in useing the internet on the other computer.
Is there anyway i can either limit the other computer's bandwith, give my computer proitey or reserve a part of the bandwith for my computer?

my computer os is win 7 64bit the other computer is win xp 32 bit

hears a link to the Router i have

That is a switch not a router.

What game are you playing?
