Something is set wrong somewhere in my OS. I am trying to perform a BACKUP of my files using WIN XP Backup application. When I select Drive D: my DC/DVD burner I get a popup stating:

The Backup file name could be used.
D:\Bakup.bkf
Please ensure it is a valid path and that you have sufficient access

So what am I missing?

You cannot use the native XP backup program...to burn directly to CD/DVD.

If using that program, you must first save to a hard drive.

So what is the work around? Create a file on my Desktop, backup to that file, then burn to DVD?
