I am trying to remove the malware winlogon.exe from my computer. I followed the guide on this website to remove it. I installed the program Autoruns.exe and ran it safe mode. However, winlogon.exe does not show up in the Autoruns program, even though I followed the instructions for making system and hidden files visible.

Can anyone help with this problem?

If you think you are infected submit a hijackthis log here.

How to submit a hijackthis log

Download Hijackthis

Try running the following from safe-mode Sysclean you'll also need the virus template file from here lpt***.zip

DrWeb CureIT

Also install and run A2 Free and Ewido

I'd also run Spybot and Adaware
