Well, I've been slammed with another rootkit and the "Protection" antispyware -- which, of course, it is not "anti-" anything. It's been ugly all day, but I think I am getting close. I can use Google again (mostly). And the fake alerts don't pop anymore. I know the rest of you are as tired as I am with this crap!

About me:
Work = Computer consultant -- data modeling and database design; plus TCP/IP sockets programming from IBM mainframes!
Hobbies = Photography & Photoshop.
Community = Work through my church.

Well, I'll get on to my searching and/or posting for this new problem.
Later,

SVKsr

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer svksr and ram151 and thanks for joining us.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
