XP Installation Error

When A Try To Install XP Pro, I Get To The Second Part Of The Installation Where It Says "Windows Just Got Better" & Then A Error Comes Up & Says A Data Error Or Something On The HDD, Then Setup Closes.

Whats Going On Here??

before you start replacing your harddrive, verify that your windows installation cd is not scratched or has dust.

The Message Setup Says Is:

Fatal Error: One of the components that Windows needs to continue could not be installed.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

PLZ HELP

If you are using a burned or slipstreamed copy of XP there is a possibilty it is corrupt, try the original copy.
