My wife said the computer was not working. I tried to escape or restart to find the only way was a hard stop by unplugging the PC. Tried to restart the computer was frozen and had to F10 to try to recover at least to some point. That worked but lost McAfee and all other programs on the computer! I have tried to reinstall the McAfee program without any luck even after downloading some of their free virus removal crap. Nothing worked but the curser. My curser has been working for 24 hours now! I知 tired and really want to say some words here but I think everyone knows what I知 thinking. After having to go through all this and some little butt head laughing about how they do this to everyone it just pees me off!
My wife is Chinese and always goes to a site called the Chinese Reader. I noticed that the virus program was catching a lot of pop ups and pop under. They have a lot of Active X there too. Oh yea, she don't go to porn sites.
Here is the log and thanks anyone that knows what has got my computer. I知 using it now to write this but the only protection I have is a Windows Firewall, Thanks, and Asianjade

Seems to be a Viral Trojan Epidemic :( :(
9-8-2009
For the last two weeks, there appears to be a Viral and Trojan epidemic. I myself and the forum and my email box have been full of similar reports of the same or similar occurrences taking place to all most everyone. Yesterday alone my email box has had nothing but a flood of hijack this and pornotube.com computer lockdowns. More than any moderator or team leader can assist. I would like to be a part of the solution and be able to help people some day. These problems are something that the software companies and the manufactures of the destructive programs are both profiting from and benefit from our losses. It also looks that in order to defend ourselves we are going to need to become as knowledgeable as or enemy. All of the tools we have available are useless unless we have enough of a support team to assist each one of us. And even with the tools we have here we have someone outwitting us on solving the next strike. There seems to be no answers from the moderators or anyone that I have noticed and all subjects seem to have the basic root problem or topic. When I see that someone has their virus program disabled and the effect are close to same effect I begin to believe that this is all related. From 9-6-09- to 9-8-09 I have notice a high amount of reports that point to the same effects of causing everyone to have to try to reach a restore point and left without a virus program. I have spent so much this year on virus protection I am almost fear turning my computer on. Asianjade

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
