My Daughter's college roomies have trashed this computer before I could get all the safeguards up and running. When I ran HJT I received a couple of error messages ( #62 and #55 ), one of which is posted. I can only run from safe mode so that is why the log is so short.

An unexpected error has occurred at procedure: modMain_CheckOther1Item()
Error #55 - File already open

Please email me at merijn@spywareinfo.com, reporting the following:
* What you were doing when the error occurred
* How you can reproduce the error
* A complete HijackThis scan log, if possible

Windows version: Windows 9x 4.90.3000
MSIE version: 6.0.2600.0000
HijackThis version: 1.98.2

I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\PROGRAM FILES\SE\V11\SE.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\CADA.DAT
C:\PROGRAM FILES\SE\
C:\PROGRAM FILES\SED\
C:\WINDOWS\HELP\MSREG.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\SE\
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Ers_src.htm

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Thanks for the help. I will get back to you in the a.m. after I've had a chance to work on the box again.

Mr. Head Bleeper, I have wasted your time. I messed around with the box after I saved the log so everything has changed. Please move on to someone else and I will repost later. Thank you for your time...
