Hi, I hope you can help out. Let me explain the situation.

I have a new Dell Lattitude Laptop. When it came it had MacAfee installed. I could connect to my wireless and it was fine. It also connected to wired. I was able to go to one web page and then it wouldn't go to another. Whether I clicked a link or entered address in the toolbar, it wouldn't go.

Since the plan was to remove MacAfee and go with AVG-Free, I removed MacAfee and was able to surf fine, as I was able to download the AVG-Free.

Once I installed AVG, I was again unable to go to the web, or get updates for AVG. I was able to ping google.com.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Harv

I have it running.

I removed AVG, ran the Windows Updates including IE8. Then I reinstalled AVG and it works like it is supposed to.

Thanks for looking.
Harv
