Im usually very good at this sort of thing, but this had me baffled. Basically my FPS in any game, including CS1.6, COD4, CS:S etc, is immensly low (around 20-40) and it bounces around like crazy, BUT if i hold down any key on my keyboard, or mouse my fps on all games jumps and stays consistantly at its MAX, usually 200+ in cod4 etc,

Things ive tried:
Reinstalling games
Updating nForce drivers
Updating and Backdating video drivers

This problem started since i reinstalled XP

Help is appreciated, thanks.
