Hello all,

The machine in question is a Dell Inspiron 530, running XP Pro, hardware warranty still valid.
Upon a fresh re-start, all multi-media and system sounds work.
After the the desktop has been up for a few minutes, a window pops up letting me know that "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered an error and needs to close." At this point, multimedia sound ceases to work, although system sounds still are heard through the speaker system.
I have been through hardware support with Dell twice on this issue, the hardware is all good.
Dell support says it is a software issue, and not covered by warranty.
Hopefully something will show up in the attached logs to point me at the problem.
Thanks.
