I got the answer how to fix and open my important ...to me... file.
I saved it in Open Office and I made a mistake or something else happened.
I think I may have saved it by mistake as "Dichos about.com" with out thinking.
Next thing I know it is an MS Dos Application!!!!!!
I Google...I get here... A guy says go to tools...folder options...view...and uncheck hide file extentions.
I did so and then opened the folder with a details view and saw the about.com ...so I say to myself ah ha...ha ha ha.....
Dot com is not a good file extension I guess. and changed it to txt.... that didn't work and then I thought hmmm
Maybe i saved it as an open office doc....so I did the ODT extention and ....whallaaaa.
Maybe this is baby stuff for a lot of you but it saved my doc and i must say.....
THANKYOU!!!!! to all you guys who know stuff and don't mind helping. Thanks, TopSpinWilly Vancouver Canada
