Hi
Put in an optic mouse(was scroll before) now when I put system on stanby it will not go out of this mode unless I reboot. No biggy but why?

Actually I don't think that this has anything to do with your mouse being optic (instead of scroll).

The plug that you had before, was it a PS/2? And the new mouse is a USB?

In your BIOS, there is a setting for device "Wake Up" which allows a device to bring the computer out of standby mode.

Assuming I'm right about the different plugs...to fix this you either need to,
1) Change this setting in your BIOS to allow USB devices to wake your comptuer
2) Get one of those little Green USB to PS/2 Adapters (when you buy a new mouse, most of them have this little adapter included) and then plug your mouse back into the PS/2 port.

Will get adapter, none came with mouse.
