How can I locate the "antivirus gold" hijacker in my computer using DOS? I can't download any antivirus software, the hijacker stops me. But if I can go into DOS, I should be able to remove these programs.

Smitfraud writes tons of files and adds registry entries...trying to fix things in dos would be excruciatingly difficult. The self help tutorial might be a good place to start though:

If you can't get to any AV sites, chances are you have a seperate infection. CWS is a good one for altrering your hosts file so that you can't get to any AV software. Once you get the initial smitfraud fixed, you might want to get one of the HJT team here to look at your system and see if there is anything else that needs to be fixed.
