Ok,

Have Acer Aspire E700
Intel Pentium D

Pre-installed with XP Media Centre Edition 2005 (Acer wouldn't tell me how to burn recovery disk so I lost that windows)

Upgraded to Vista Home Preium - Vista giving me the sh*ts

I used the Vista install disk to format the C:/ Partion

Tried to install XP and it comes up with a error:

STOP: 0X0000007B (OXF78D2524, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

I Presume I'm suppose to press F6 to install drivers for a SATA hardrive but F6 function does not work.

Any ideas?

I tried an alternate method by turnig IDE off, but XP setup fails because the file ultra.sys is corrupted.

Ok, all i had to do was slipstream the XP RAID drives to a XP Pro install disc. easiest method apparently.
