There are multiple pcs in our home, all connected to one wireless network. None of us need to share anything on the others' computer. However, I am not clear as to exactly what ICS does, or will prevent us from doing if I disable it on my computer. And I would like to disable it if I could. Anyone want to school me?

ICS is intended to be used when PCs are "chained" together without benefit of a router. That means that the PC connected to the Internet facing device = cable\DSL modem acts as the router.

In your case it would appear ICS is not need`d and safe to disable.

Should something go cross-eye`d on you after doing so then just re-enable it.
