Just wanted to say hi and thanks. My youngest daughter has a small, cheapo, refurbed Dell that keeps her off MY computer (Thank Goodness!!) and she managed to pick up the XP 2008/09 antivirus malware. Probably YouTube...she's ten. I think I have removed it, I'm running a second Malwarebytes Anti Malware scan to check, but 22 minutes into it, I'm still showing 0 infected...YaY!! So once again, Thanks!! The instructions were easy to follow and seemingly effective. One question though...I still and getting a message that says her copy of Windows didn't pass validation. Kinda scared to click on it... Any way to get if off or do you think it is there to stay? I don't have the CD for windows that was used when her computer was redone. This started hanging out on her desktop about the same time she started receiving invalid Trojan and other virus warnings. Should we ignore it or dig further?

If I need to go to a different forum, please point me in the right direction.

Hello kenshelb and  to Bleepingcomputer!

I suggest you start a thread in Am I infected? What do I do? stating all your symptoms, any steps you have already taken in an attempt to solve the problem, and any other details you can provide that may prove useful. Someone should be able to help you there!

If I am helping you, it has been 48 hours since your last post, and I have yet to reply to your topic, please send me a PM
