This is really weird.

I have my ScreenSaver set to come on after 1 minute. It never turns on.

However, after I play say a full screen video in VLC it works until I shutdown my computer. (Even after I close VLC).

I've tried every trick on the internet with no luck, but I still find it odd that playing Full Screen video causes it to work shortly there after.

I can post my laptop's Specs if needed. Thanks in advanced to anyone who can help me.

What video software do you have installed on your machine?

Try right click on desk top, properties, screen saver, and set the time to 5 or 10 minutes. The next big question is where did you get your screen saver. Some screen savers down loaded from the web have lots of things you don't want.
