Hello folks. I'm new to the forum with just enough knowledge on computers to be able to find my way around and also just enough to get myself into trouble as well. Anyway, onto my problem. I seemed to aquired one of those nasty virus' with the fake virus scans and will not allow you onto certain internet sites. As a suggestion from my computer guy, he had me log onto bleepingcomputer and run Combofix. The good news is it DID SEEM to take care of the virus. The bad news is now I can't access a good part of my computer. A ton of stuff I click on I get a message that say's "Illegal Operation attempted on a regestry key that has been mark for deletion". I can't even get into the comboFix logs or notepad. Not even control panel or system restore. At first I wasn't even able to log onto the internet but I just keep trying and kind of found a backwords way of get on. I think I kind of made a mess of things. I sure hope you kind folks can help me with this and thank you in advance.
P.S. Please forgive any miss spelling. I can't even get into a spell check program.

OK. I got everything up and running again. However I still would like to have you folks take a look anyway (When you have time. I know your busy). Unfortunately I can't find the logs you need anywhere on my computer. Must not be looking in the right spot. As I say, I know just enough to make EVERYBODY'S life tough. Thanks for everything.
