Just for the record, i'm not super up-to-date on computer stuff. please give me detailed instruction  i have windows vista (hate it!). it all started about a week ago when my network was now an "unidentified" network. i have only one computer connected directly into the modem. "network 2" soon followed. its like it keeps getting disconnected. sometimes web pages will load, sometimes they wont. sometimes hitting refresh helps. comcast said everything was working fine on their end. dell said all the hardware seemed to be good & that it must be a software issue. windows diagnoses it as a problem with the modem/router/network but isn't able to repair it. i have reinstalled the network driver, got a new modem (not on a wireless connection - directly into the modem), & scanned for viruses, malware, & rootkits. very frustrated! when i pinged it: sent 4, rec'd 4, lost 0. any ideas? thanks so much!
