Hi Folks,

Long time computer user and programmer but novice when it comes to viruses. I never had to deal with a serious one until my son installed Windows Antivirus Pro on one of my machines at home.

In the past I've received macro viruses with Word files, but those were removed relatively easily. Also, I received the "I Love You" virus from a guy at DARPA, but since I don't swing that way, I suspected that there was something wrong and managed to avoid infection.

I posted a question over on the "I think I have a virus" forum about the AV Pro infection, if anyone is interested.

This appears to be a great site! Many thanks to the operators.

Happy computing!
