i just got a new Dell inspiron 546s desktop computer and i'm having some trouble figuring out the different audio settings. it has three 3.5mm jacks; one for left/right audio out, one for mic, and another for line In. i figured out that I can adjusted the settings to change the mic to Rear left/Right audio out and the Line In to Center LFE for the 5.1 audio, but I'm still confused about some of the other settings. other than the speaker settings, the possible audio outputs are HDMI (which I understand) and spdif (which I don't since there is not an spdif (optical or coaxial) output). I found something that says spdif through Rear Panel Internal ATAPI jack and VIA High definition audio. i really don't know what I doing here so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
