windows xp ERROR: An extended manager already exists

The error flashes in a DOS window just for a second. Some programs will run, some won't.

I have run various antivirus, malware and spyware programs. The XP version of windows is an upgrade.

appreciate any help.

Since you've not provided any details of what you were trying to do...what DOS programs (if any) you are trying to run...all I can do is point.
