Hi, I'm going to get a new computer with a 1TB Hard Drive and I plan on getting a 1TB external drive for backup. I need help deciding between a WD My Book Essential Edition (WDH1U10000N) and Seagate Freeagent (ST310005FDA2E1-RK). Which one is least likely to crap out on me? I know this site must have many members who work with computers for a living so please, if you have any feedback, please share.

Thank you in advance for any helpful replies

Both are good manufacturers, I would go with the Seagate only because is has the longer warranty.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
