Hello, first off thanks for giving my problem your time and consideration. Anyways, it all started when chrome started acting funny on my laptop. One day I got a strange "page not found" error on chrome and when I tried opening it up again it actually opened up as an internet explorer window and then would crash. I then tried to use firefox, which would stay open for about a minute or so and then crash. At the time I had an older version of internet explorer, not version 8, that still worked. However, in my attempts to fix the problem I installed all my windows updates that I had been neglecting, which included Internet Explorer 8, and now I'm having the same problem with that browser. Admittedly, I had no antivirus software installed at the time and simply relied on spybot s&d and adaware. Afterwards though I downloaded both microsoft forefront, through my university, and Kasperksy antivirus. Both of these scanners found numerous trojans but then removed them. However, after all my efforts my browser problem still remains and now I just have a computer slowed down by a million antivirus/antispyware programs! Please help! I've attached the dds.txt, attach.txt and ark.txt. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome and firefox several times to no avail, I currently have them uninstalled until I fix IE. Currently, chrome and firefox crash immediately. IE however doesn't crash if I set the homepage to about:blank, yet when I try to go to another website it just takes forever and ends up being non-responsive and crashing. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks again,

Paul

Woops! Forgot to post the copy of the dds.txt. Here it is:

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

I do not accept personal donations for assistance provided. I would ask that you instead consider donating the greatest gift - Organ Donation. Your organs are of no use to you when your gone. You will save a life that would otherwise be lost!
