While browsing the threads/posts, I noticed that the latest version of Java was 16. I went to Cont.Pnl. to check and make sure that I had the latest update and found that I only have SE Version6 UD13. I did the update (supposed to do it automatically but apparently it's not) and msg. came back that I had the latest update, but still shows only having 13.
Question, should I go to Java website and download 16 or is this not a problem? I read posts all the time that says early versions of Java can be hazardous to your health.
Open to suggestions.

Thanks

Yes, you should go to the Java website and download the latest version. Java will only automatically alert you when new updates are available if you have it configured to do so.

Here's a link to the download site. You're looking for "Java Runtime Environment (JRE)" JRE 6 Update 16 http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
