phillips dvd/cd 8631

I have a dell computer 3000 it has a phillips 8631 dvd/cd in it it has quit working will not read or open up how do you fix the problem to get it working

If the eject button quit working and it won't even boot a cd or dvd, then it's probably dead/worn out. New replacements are very cheap.
