I have been directed to a couple of threads on Bleeping Computer and decided I liked what I saw and should join so I might access the wisdom of the forum for problems I encounter. I find I'm the one in the family who is asked to fix problems. My skill is more digging around for solutions rather than just knowing what to do. Hence my interest in this forum.

I'm almost back to a manageable PC environment having taken two loads of old PCs, monitors and printers to our e-Waste recycling weekend last weekend. {All I have to do now is fill all the space I've created.}

As we run a solar-powered house, I'm using a WinXPsp3 notebook and not long back got a VistaHomePrem notebook for my wife.

Looking forward to joining in the forum.

Being the "go-to" guy, while you learn an awful lot about computers fixing problems, can be very time consuming unless you have someplace like BC to go to when you get stumped.
