I'm just wondering, is a 1.5 megabit connection worth $35 per month? Cable isn't exactly an option here, and AT&T is the only DSL provider, so I'm kinda stuck, but I feel like downloading at 192 kBps isn't going to be that great. Right now I download at 3, so it would still be a heck of a lot better. I just wanna know if $35 for that is a ripoff.

It is hard to guage whether or not that is a good rate because rates differ from place to place. Given that cable is not an option, I don't see that you have much of a choice. Personally it seems reasonable.

I guess the speed would be alright. My next issue is whether the connection requires software or is always on, because I really hate having to use ISP software.
