Hi guys I am new at this, I have never participated in a forum before just read all the helpful stuff. I will intro myself later, for now grandmother doing Phd. I am not bad at fixing problems - my first computer was a commodor 64 - but this one scares me. This morning while working on a chapter I went to use my new ISYS prog, for those who do not know what it is and I am sure you all do ISYS is a file search prog that has just been made available for personal use at not a bad price. Back to the prob. As soon as I activated ISYS AVG went into overload with
"Virus found Win32/Induc;"C:\Program Files\ISYS Personal Edition\RuleEdit\spdrules.dll";"Infected";"21-Aug-09, 12:38:39 PM";"file";"C:\Windows\System32\WerFault.exe"
there are only a few post on google. All say its not malicious and is attached to Dephi. Aonther said it was a false positve?? whatever that means. One suggested to uninstal the prog. I have two problems the first is I find AVG combersome and thought I would try another prog PC tools Spyware and Anti Virus, they say it picks up and fixes these problems, what do you all think and second what should I do about ISYS? Do reinstal ISYS if and ignor the AVG alerts if it is a false positive (what is a false positve). I hope some one can help me work this one out I need ISYS for my thesis I have just purchased it but that is another story Bo1 Nil Desperandum Illigitemus Carberundum:crazy:

Hi,

A false positive is a warning from an A/V program, when there is no real infection.

You can try uploading one of the files from ISYS to www.virustotal.com
Post the results in your next reply.

The guys at ISYS are on top of this one, and they had a fix almost as soon as the virus scanners started bleeping. Just contact your local ISYS office and tell them what's going on, and they'll point you towards a download which will fix it right up. In the meantime, don't worry because no damage is being done.
