I'm a sucker for older programs such as Flash MX and the earlier MACROMEDIA stuff.

I recently suffered a virus causing me no alternative, but, to re-format all of my drives.
I just Re-Installed XP SP2, updated (not to SP3), did the whole license verification mumbo-jumbo, etc...

Started re-installing some of my old favorite software (I mean really old), only to find that
Dreamweaver 2 (yeah - I know. The thing's a fossil), crashes on launch of the app in normal mode. Works fine in SafeMode.
Everything worked fine with all the early apps before the recent format/update/re-installs.

I love this old app. Don't want to give it up.

Anyone have similar problems that can offer a solution/fix for XP SP2....

I mean; Besides the obvious - "Stop livin in the past and get with the times"

No I haven't .

Although I did a google (mostly found issues and fixes specific to to the later versions).

Good Idea....

It probably really is my best resource/last hope.
