Firstly, make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows When you found the file, if you had it there, do the opposite to hid the files again. That is the Default.

Then...

use Windows Explorer to find the file:

As an example:
To delete C:\WINDOWS\badfile.dll
Double click the My Computer icon on your Desktop. Or click on the Windows KEY + E.
Double click on Local Disc (C:\)
Double click on the Windows folder,
Right click on the badfile and then from the menu that appears, do what you want to do with it.
