Just wondering if anyone would mind commenting on the process at http://www.schrockinnovations.com/preventsys32config4.php . With all that can go wrong from time to time, I was hoping some one here could back up the idea, or shed light on the usefulness of the idea. Thanks.

The idea is excellent.

Check out this link for ERUNT

This is about the best available and the most widely recommended and used method, it would seem to me. I am using it myself and I set it up on all computers that I have anything to do with!

I find it just easier to do comprehensive backup (entire C: partition) and have access to all files, rather than preparing for an error/situation...that is just one of many which are likely to occur.

Or do a repair install of XP.
