Hey guys I just bought a new computer as I was very much in the need for one. When I got it I installed CS:S and got a smooth 75 fps consistently, with the max resolution and highest graphics settings. Now I load up COD: WaW, start the first level and I am lagging really badly. I set everything to the lowest setting I could and displayed my FPS and I was only getting 10... Even though I was pretty sure everything was up to date, I updated my drivers, no change. I didn't think WaW would run as smoothly as CS:S but I figured I would be able to run it. I checked the minimum system requirements and its for a card thats over 3 years old... I am pretty sure this one came out last year. Any ideas?

For the record, my system specs:
Intel Quad Core Q8300 2.5 Ghz
6 GB DDR2 RAM
64 bit Vista SP1

If you are playing online there is more involved then just your computer.

How well a game plays online depends a whole lot on the server & how busy it is as much as the computer being used.

Right, as I said it was the very first mission. Single player.

I don't see how having a bad connection to a server = less fps anyways.
