I've really done it this time, don't even know what I hit to start this.

Yesterday afternoon, was hit with the Antivirus 2010 malware, didn't
worry me too much because of Malwarebytes. Used in past to remove
AV2008 and AV2009. I booted computer this morning and AV2010 quickly
morphed into Windows Antivirus Pro, I clicked on Malwarebytes and updated
the software, soon as I finished, my desktop and start menu disappeared.
If I reboot computer, I will get the infected computer popup's, and MS explorer
going to random click sites. It appears MS explorer is usable, but all sites are
redirected or come up as disabled. Am able to access taskmanager, I see the exe
for windows av pro, along with b.exe, msa.exe, svchast.exe, and probably a couple
of others. Tried rebooting in safe mode, still no luck, everything is hidden, not able
to run any antivirus software.

Unfortunately, I could not wait for the help, and judging by the backlog of posts, I won't be the only one. I had to reformat my computer. System was definitely f****d. Only my work computer so it's not so bad.

thanks anyway
