This is a particularly nasty virus that I cannot seem to get rid of.
It disables all Anti-virus programs that I have. It disables Malware programs, and spyware programs on my computer.
I know that it is in the local settings in the temp internet folder, but it has also disabled that folder so I cannot go and delete the files in that folder.
It has disabled the task manager so I cannot go in and stop it.

I worked on it for about 3 hours last night and got absolutely no where; if anything I think that I made matters worse.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of this virus?

Thanks Jared

I can get into safe mode, but the same issues still apply. It will not allow me to run any anti-virus or malware software. It tells me that I do not have proper access, and to contact computer administrator.
Even though the account is logged onto computer administrator.

  • Download RootRepeal from the following location and save it to your desktop.
  • Extract RootRepeal.exe from the archive (If you did not use the "Direct Download" mirror).
  • Open Posted Image on your desktop.
  • Click the Posted Image tab.
  • Click the Posted Image button.
  • Check all seven boxes: Posted Image

Both computers at home have the virus so I am on my work computer trying to gather information. I will download the Rootkit and Rootrepeal and run it tonight when I get home.
I will post later tonight.
Thank you for your help so far.
