So I've looked through a lot of topics and tried a lot of things, but I can't seem to remove this virus from a friends laptop. Malware Anti-malwarebytes will not run. Super Antispyware will not run. Even after trying to rename them, I get an error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" (I'm on the Admin account). I cannot even run them from safe-mode. Please help. I'm at the mercy of the Geek Gods.

I'm on Windows XP SP2. I cannot access the internet from that laptop (which is another thing that needs to be fixed), but I am able to move files over with a USB flash drive.
