We have a net filter.exe (I assume that's what's doing it anyway) that is blocking our explorer access to just about every web site by claiming that it contain malicious software, then it comes up with a different page that says that we need to either download Personal Anti-Virus (pav) to protect the computer. There was also a little norton-like program that ran in the system tray and popped up the notice that "you are infected with a trojan. click here to remove the problem" that I managed to shut off via the msconfig start-up unchecking. Avast has found two points:

Filename: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\moved\NetFilter.exe
and: C:\SystemVolumeInformation\_restore{A9EC9AD8-41fa-4542-b47}

Previous scans had turned up different files that it could not move to the chest or delete. Norton was useless to find it in the first place. Attempted runing in safe mode also didn't help.

I really appreciate your help guys (and girls if they're here).
