Hello all,

Whenever do a search (yahoo, google, etc.) I am getting redirected to various sites such as Findstuff.com, Shopica.com, Cliccker.cn, Kill-Spyware-Now.org, feed.ndot.com, etc. Ran various programs to try to fix this, but cannot get it cleaned. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello! :thumbup2:
My name is Sam and I will be helping you.

In order to see what's going on with your computer I'll ask for you to post various logs from the tools that we will use to resolve your issue. Please also share with me any information about how your computer is reacting and behaving each step of the way as we work through this process.

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Important!
You should NOT use Combofix unless you have been instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert.
It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of an Malware Removal Expert, not for private use.
Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

Make sure that you save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Hello Sam,

I ran ComboFix and it found some SKYNET rootkits.

I am on a wireless network in an apartment complex and can no longer access the wireless network...when connecting it says Limited or No Connectivity. I have no trouble from my other laptops. Is there a fix for this?

I don't know what information you need from the log.

Other Deletions:

c:\windows\CDProxyServ.exe
c:\windows\kb913800.exe
c:\windows\system32\drivers\SKYNETkgtxxqxn.sys
c:\windows\system32\sfcfiles.dll
c:\windows\system32\SKYNEThcvhfqvp.dll
c:\windows\system32\SKYNETnitqolrf.dat
c:\windows\system32\SKYNETsvrkrduy.dll
c:\windows\system32\SKYNETtqrngklv.dat
D:\Autorun.inf

Drivers/Services:
\Service_SKYNETxumqpsbl
\Legacy_SKYNETxumqpsbl
\Legacy_$SYS$ARIES
\Legacy_$SYS$DRMSERVER
\Legacy_CD_PROXY
\Service_$sys$DRMServer
\Service_CD_Proxy

I'm not sure if the problem with my internet connectivity is due to the running of ComboFix. I will continue to try to reconnect so I can get you the complete log or I will get a thumb drive and save it to another laptop.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Danny

It will be helpful if you can get me the entire combofix log so I can review it.

Download and run this tool on the infected computer.

Let me know if that restores your connection.
