Welcome to BC!
Did you know that BC has a very good Compupedia, which contains definitions to many computer terms?
A very good place to begin the learning process is the Tutorial section, which contains many introductory articles that will help you understand terminology and basic computer concepts and "how-to's."
And don't worry about posting; if you are not sure about the correct terminology, a careful description of your question or problem will most likely be enough to get some help. Members here are all users, and generally make an attempt to discuss using non-technical terms whenever possible.
Regards,
John
