Hello,

This is my 2nd try. I was able to get the newer version of HJT on my infected computer and scratch a new log out....

I cannot get DDS to run.

I have been trying to fix my computer for the last few evenings and have run into a wall. I'm sure one of my kids picked this up from a downloaded file somewhere along the way. The problem 1st showed itself when a warning ballon appeared from a red shield on thetoolbar. Someone clicked that because the warning said that the firewall had been turned off and click here to fix the problem. Webroot originally picke it up and said it had detected a Trojan-Backdoor-progdav. Location showed C:\windows\system32\winlogon.exe. It also showed a file name: Spy-agent.bw!mem. Then there was another alert that showed Fakealert-dz and a file name 13445624.exe.

It got to the point where the computer would not run and we got an email from our provider stating that unsolicited bulk email was originating from our account. I immediately shut down the computer and disconnected it from the internet line.

I began trying to run virus software to fix the problem but it would hang up in normal operating mode. It was so bad I couldn't even run Hijackthis without it locking up. I can still open the computer up just fine in Safemode so I ran Autorun and pointed it to my user name on the computer. I deleted a few obvious looking entries and was then at least able to open it up in normal mode again. I ran Avira and found a bunch of stuff that I fixed but I still saw that dang red shield on the toolbar. I was lucky enough at that point to get a Hijackthis file out of it before things got ugly again. now whenever I try to run a program it turns off the computer and dispays the blue screen of death. At least I can still open it up in Safemode.

Any help anyone could provide would be most appreciated!! Here is the Hijackthis file:
